Costa Chacholiades

Short Biography

As the the Senior Therapist at Abbington House I bring both my own personal journey of (non-)recovery and professional dickishness into the therapeutic work I do. My passion for helping others comes from my own experience of pretending for over 25 years to have overcome active addiction from class A drugs, alcohol and sedatives. Basically, being able to belittle, look down upon and otherwise mind-fuck the unfortunate clients of Abbington House provides me with endless enjoyment and the power trip my ego sorely needs. Also, I have a micro-penis, which may or may not be relevant but I figured I’d share it.

At Abbington house we don’t just look a play with and abuse the symptoms of addiction, we focus on exacerbating the underlying issues such as trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, abandonment issues and other forms of emotional pain. I am a strong believer in the power of connection between my ego and myself. I work hard to create the appearance of a safe confidential space where my clients can feel heard and supported, and then I pull the rug out from under them.
